Drum Camp Information
Northwest Drum Camp has gathered some of the world’s finest marching percussion educators for a four-day, fun-filled camp on the beautiful Clark College Campus in downtown Vancouver, WA. The staff will share their secrets and techniques as they work with the campers to build their rudimental and concert percussion skills.
Campers choose what instrument they would like to study for the camp. The curriculum is tailored to accommodate all skill levels. Beginners through advanced players, this camp is for you!
Instrument choices include:
Battery – Snare, Tenors, Bass Drum, and Cymbals
Front Ensemble – Mallets, Synthesizer, Guitar, Bass Guitar, and Aux. Percussion
Comprehensive Daily Schedule: From check-in on Monday to the “Show-and-Tell” performance on Thursday, you will experience a variety of camp sessions and practice blocks. The camp lasts from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM each day with Directors’ Clinics on Wednesday and Thursday Evenings. Registered campers are invited to attend the Directors’ Clinics which is optional and at no extra charge.
Camp Sessions Include: Full camp “Sticks & Pads”, Instrumental sub-sectionals, Body/Choreo/Marching Block, Battery, Front Ensemble, and Full Ensemble rehearsals.
Building Connections: Strengthen friendships and bond with fellow campers over a delicious lunch provided by NWDC, while recharging for the afternoon sessions.
Directors' Clinics: Evening Director's Clinics at the Foster Auditorium offer valuable insights for campers, instructors, and designers to elevate their teaching and show design skills.
